Panasea was an idea rooted in a love for the natural world and spending time in it. Being based in Savannah, we love Tybee Beach and were drawn to the fishermen we’d often see there. Sadly, as we asked them about their craft, we came to learn that just about everything they were putting in the water was damaging to the creatures living in it. We couldn’t believe this would be the case in an industry so aligned with the natural world, but a trip to a flagship outdoor store confirmed it: there were no options available for anglers who wanted bait or weights that wouldn’t harm the environment. Panasea is our attempt to address this. By offering bait and weights that are not only gentle, but restorative to marine environments, we hope to keep as many fish as healthy as possible for as long as possible… because when there’s more fish, there’s more fishing.
